NFL Week 8 Highlight Round Up With Blue Dream Pre-Rolls

Pre-rolls tend to suck because they are rolled with shake. It tends to be the stuff that wouldn’t be sold as bud that ends up as pre-rolled joints. Make sure to ask your budtender to give you pre-rolls only proven to have been rolled with flower. GreenRush might be and should be one of their suggestions. Only big-beautiful buds are broken down and rolled up.

Blue Dream is a great strain to experience in a joint because it’s a mellow sativa hybrid that can be enjoyed during any situation. Smoke the whole thing and you won’t have to worry about getting too paranoid or bogged down. This strain is an enhancer in the truest sense of the word.

Light one, and smoke it to the crutch while you watch the dopest highlights from week 8 of the NFL.

Monday Motivation With Oregon Diesel And Kevin Hart

Sometimes Monday can hit you hard. I think it’s important to start the week of fast and get momentum rolling so you can have a productive week. I like to use cannabis and my favorite inspirational humans to get myself fired up. There is nothing like smoking a good indica after a long day at work. GreenRush’s Oregon Diesel strain is a northwest grown indica-dominant hybrid.

It’s a cross between Blackberry and NYC Diesel. The diesel makes this a lighter indica than most, despite being covered in deep purple leaves. This frosty purple flower has a terpene profile that resembles raspberry jam. Wind down with some Oregon Diesel and get ready to kill the rest of your week.

Learn About The Dr. Who #6 Strain

Dr. Who #6 is a strain worthy of the BBC One’s Timelord.  This beauty is the product of crossing Mad Scientist and Timewreck.

Mad Scientist is the creation of Sannie’s Seeds. This indica-hybrid was made by crossing Herijuana and White Widow. Mad Scientist is associated with heavy sedative effects and a citrus flavor profile, per Leafly.

Timewreck is another creation by TGA Subcool Seeds. This strain was created by breeding Blood Wreck with Vortex. A more common name for those is Chernobyl and Qrazy Train respectively.

“With the success of Chernobyl and Qrazy Train, two hybrids created using our Blood Wreck, I wanted to see what would happen if we crossed my favorite strain Vortex with genetics held in Blood Wreck a strain I am not partial to but love its medicinal effect,” Per TGA Subcool Seeds. The result was a powerful, almost disorienting sativa effects with waves of creativity coming to you on the come down.

Dr. Who #6 strain

Dr. Who #6 starts turning almost completely jet black in color during the last two weeks of the flowering process. The dark flower allows a sea of trichomes to shine across the entire flower. Green Rush tested Dr. Who #6’s terpene profile and the results showed high myrcene content. This would account for the strong sedative effects as well as the spicy, almost tobacco like flavors that come across. The grape terpenes shine though both aroma and flavor profiles. Lick your lips after you smoke it and hints of grape swisher come to mind.

This strain is as potent of hybrid as you’re going to find. Powerful mental stimulation paired with heavy body feels makes this strain best for veteran cannabis users. Even a few hits of this strain can send you into a wormhole, a few bowls and you might find yourself I a different timeline just like the Timelord, Dr. Who herself.

Dr. Who #6 Sugar Wax Highlight

The Dr. Who #6 strain is one of the few strains in GreenRush’s garden that wasn’t hand bred by their Lead Grower, Blake Brush. This one was designed by TGA Subcool Seeds, and is the time-traveling offspring of Mad Scientist and Timewreck.

Dr. Who #6 test results came back with high amounts of Myrcene, which is a terpene associated with a spicy flavor and sedative effects. Dr. Who #6 has both in spades, along with strong grape/berry terpenes that shine through in the aroma and flavor.

Dr. Who #6 will turn almost jet black in the last two weeks of the flowering process. The trichomes shine in front of the black/purple flower backdrop. After Dr. Who #6 is put through the extraction process, it becomes a pale-yellow wax that resembles broken honey combs.

“Dr Who sugar wax from has the most exotic smells. Best way I can describe it is grape kush laced w sour skunk juice. If youre a concentrate head, you’ve gotta try it,” Brush exuded on Instagram.

Expect a potent hybrid high, with equal parts body relaxation and mental clarity. The Dr. Who #6 is potent, but still forgiving. Rookie smokers would be best to avoid this strain during the day, but if you’re a veteran in the cannabis game this one can power you through a rough day. Especially if you’re sore from a hard workout or mentally worn out from the daily grind called life.

Locktite Sugar Wax Highlight

GreenRush’s Locktite is the combination of one of their most potent flowers, Mt. Rainier and a legendary favorite, Gorilla Glue #4. Mt. Rainier was the product of Northern Lights #5 and White Lotus; It provides the potency in the Locktite. Gorilla Glue #4 was bred by Josey Whales and is killing it in the Washington recreational market because of its fluffy trichome coated flowers that fill the bag. As a budtender, there isn’t a strain I sell more of than Gorilla Glue #4, no matter the brand.

The Locktite flowers kept the fluffy flower structure of the Gorilla Glue #4. The pale green color allows the orange hairs and trichome spread to stand out, making this one of the prettiest girls in the garden. Locktite contains strong diesel and citrus terpenes in both aroma and flavor profiles.

Sugar wax is a great way to experience a strain’s smell. The terpenes are so concentrated and potent after extraction that they can tinge your nose, like some smelling-salts. The crystals can be anywhere from a dry wax consistency to a wet and gooey jelly type consistency. Both are user-friendly and easy to scoop up with a d dabber. Make sure to dab this Locktite on a low-temperature nail to really experience the citrusy diesel fumes.

Learn About The Nurse Joy Strain

Outside of cannabis culture, there is still a stereotype of the lazy stoner. The guy who just sits on the couch eating Doritos, using his shirt as a napkin. Maybe they aren’t lazy, but just smoking the wrong strain. Nurse Joy from Green Rush is something you can smoke in the morning with your cup of coffee and turbo charge your morning routine and your entire day.

Nurse Joy flower is frosty purple with brilliant rust orange hairs, Blake Brush said. Brush is the Green Rush lead grower. Nurse Joy has vibrant terpene profile: An aroma that resembles lemon-lime, grape Kool-Aid. Nurse Joy’s smoke has a sweet, citrusy candy flavor.

“A great thought provoking hybrid,” Brush said.

This is strain is best used during the daytime. This is a bright and brilliant mood elevator that’s good for PTSD or depression, Brush said. Nurse Joy proved all the mental stimulation without any raciness. Nurse Joy has it all: taste, bag appeal, and effect. The numbers won’t pop off the bag, testing around 14-18 percent. The effect are noticeable, so don’t pass this one up chasing THC and cannabinoid numbers.

Brush’s passion for Nurse Joy pours out of him when he’s talking about the strain.

“It’s a great day to be alive, because I’m smoking Nurse Joy,” Brush exuded.

Learn About The Golden Panda Strain

Golden Panda is a strange strain. It’s all about effect over appeal. A cross between Pineapple OG and Gold Nugget, this strain might not have the pungent aroma and color of other strains in the Green Rush garden, but what Golden Panda lacks in ascetics, it more than makes up for with its high.

Pineapple OG is a cross between the more well-known Pineapple Express and some random OG Kush phenotype, Leafly reports. This is a 70 percent sativa leaning hybrid that packs a peppery pineapple taste with a stiff cerebral buzz.

Gold Nugget is the tropical consequence of mixing Stardawg and the Golden Goat strain, per Leafly. This hybrid is recommended for daytime use because of its mood and creativity-boosting properties.

Learn About The Golden Panda Stain

However, the genetics combine on this one, it comes out a 60/40 indica leaning hybrid, according to Blake Brush, Lead Grower of Green Rush. The trichomes stack brilliantly on the flowers, and the bland aroma, luckily, doesn’t translate to the taste.

The smoke’s taste is something like a lemon OG sour candy. Lemon-lime citrus with hints of pineapple was another was it was described. The terpene profile is prominent and it has a cult following for its “strong stone,” Blake explained.

Indica leaning hybrids are good for winding down after work or on the weekends. The pain relief and body feel will help you recover for your next endeavor. The Pineapple genetics pack enough mental stimulation to keep the couch lock at bay.

Big City Lights Strain Spotlight

Big City Lights is a specialty strain designed by NorStar Genetics. The genetic profile is complex and provides a unique experience when smoking it. Big City Lights is a “large yield purple OG in seed form,” according to Blake Brush, Lead Grower for Green Rush Cannabis. Green Rush is a small farm located in Snohomish Valley, they produce small, but sophisticated crops with unique strains. Big City Lights is one of those strains.

Big City Lights’ mother is Dark Desire and its father is Frisco OG.

Dark Desire’s purple color characteristics are dominant traits and consistently passes on its purple flowers to the offspring, according to NorStar Genetics. Dark Desire was the result of Gooey Breeder’s attempt at making a purple strain with extremely dominant characteristics.

Frisco OG another NorStar exclusive and is the offspring of Hell’s Angel’s OG Kush and DeadHead Kush. This is a Sativa-dominant hybrid with a strong citrus and pine terpene profile and carries the pain reliving effects like an Indica, per NorStar Genetics.

Green Rush started with 40 phenotypes of the Big City Lights strain before slimming it down to the final two phenotypes used to breed the final variation.

The first phenotype was a “deep dark, purple yielder,” as Brush described it. The smells are reminiscent of the grape scented markers we used to have as kids. The smell is almost artificial. The grape really comes through, so much so you almost taste it, Brush exclaimed.  Brush described the high from this plant as the feel of an OG with the thump of a strong Indica. You get that stoned feeling in your face, but it never travels to your body. You can stay functioning and productive throughout the day.

The second phenotype had little of the deep purple color as phenotype one, but the high that came with it was too good to pass up. Dubbed “comatose,” Brush said with a smirk on his face. The phenotype was “uniquely strong,” and reminded Brush of a pure Trainwreck high, or the closest feeling to one’s he’s experienced in the last decade.

Over one-third of this line became hermaphrodites, which means the female plants that alone will produce big beautiful buds, started growing male parts which produce pollen and seeds for reproduction, not smoke-able flower. “Hermies” plants can start a chain reaction that can ruin a crop.

“There were some that remained stable, making the [pheno] hunt well worth it in the end,” Brush wrote on an Instagram post detailing Big City Lights.

The resulting high of these phenotypes is supposed to give you the Sativa OG feels behind a strong Indica kick. It will have pain relieving effects while allowing you to stay productive and motivated throughout the day. This strain sounds perfect for post workout recovery. You can relieve your sore joints and muscles while allowing you to stay focused and knock out the rest of your to-do list.

Big City Lights is “has terps to match her color, just oozing berry goodness,” Brush exclaimed.

Crown Royal OG | Strain Spotlight

The Crown Royal OG strain from Green Rush was bred and crafted by their Lead Grower Blake Brush, formerly of RedEyed Genetics. Crown Royal OG has an extensive genealogy, making it one of the most exclusive and historical strains Green Rush has to offer.

“Crow Royal OG is by far one of my favorite strains I’ve bred. Straight up gasoline terpenes with a beautiful chemical OG backend,” Brush wrote on his Instagram about Crown Royal OG.

The high from the Crown Royal OG is a potent hybrid effect. A noticeable stoney feeling behind the eyes and mental stimulation come on right away. There’s some cerebral raciness with this strain, telling of the Chemdawg genetics. The peak of this high can be rather intense,  If you’re prone to paranoia when you consume cannabis, avoid this strain before bed time.

Crown Royal OG is a cross Royal Chem and Epoxy OG. Epoxy OG finished 2nd place in the 2016 Seeker Cup. Epoxy OG is the product of Josey Whales’ original Gorilla Glue #4 and Double Barrel OG. Gorilla Glue #4 is a two-time Cannabis Cup winner and is consistently a top seller in Washington’s recreational market. Royal Chem is crossed between Chemdawg 91 and Deadhead OG. Chemdawg 91 was used to make Royal Chem and Deadhead OG. The Chemdawg family are usually potent hybrids known for their diesel and skunky aroma profile. The Chemdawg’s have strong head and body effects.

Crown Royal OG has the diesel skunkyness from the mysterious Chemdawg family line and all the bag appeal from the Gorilla Glue #4. Making this a sativa-hybrid with bud structure that resembles a dank indica. Small dense nugs that are covered in trichomes. The hairs are sparse, but thick and vibrant orange.

This strain would be great for a day time smoke sesh and is recommended for the veteran smoker. This strain is surprisingly potent for only testing slightly above 18 percent. Crown Royal OG’s Chemdawg lineage combined with Epoxy OG’s Gorilla Glue influence makes for an incredibly strong effect. Crown Royal is a great example of why you shouldn’t choose cannabis strictly on potency numbers. A strains terpene profile is just as important for effect. Pay attention to how a strain makes you feel. For the ones you like, find strains with similar lineage and there is a good chance you will find a similar effect.
