Rapper Weed Is A Real Thing

Berner – Girl Scout Cookies

Berner has the most popular and successful cannabis collaboration in the game with the Cookies Family. The Cookies Family are the originators of Girl Scout Cookies and other Cookies strains such as Sunset Sherbert, Gelato and Cherry Pie. These hybrids are respected around the world because of their one of a kind terpene profiles. Cookies has become a brand on its own with a full merchandise line. These days, we are hard pressed to find someone who has smoked weed, that hasn’t smoked cookies or at least heard of it in passing.

THC Farms – Rapper Kush

Rapper Kush is an exclusive strain from THC Farms. This Tacoma based farm is designed for the hip hop communities love of dense kushy flower. Rapper Kush is a woody kush that looks like a snow capped Washington mountain, Culture Magazine reports. This strain will put the entire crew on the same level or take you above the rim if you’re smoking solo.

Wiz Khalifa – Khalifa Kush

The real Khalifa Kush might not be available to anyone but the Wiz himself, according to Leafly, but the strains that claim the name usually resemble a OG Kush descendant with pine, earth and citrus aromatics.

Three of RMR’s most seasoned smokers tested the strain in Las Vegas and concluded it wasn’t worth the hype. Quality control matters for agricultural products like cannabis,  given KK that was over six-months-old and cost us over $20 for a “gram” preroll. Sometimes brands just don’t live up to the hype.

Paul Wall – Satellite OG Kush

Paul Wall is a rapper from Houston, who many know as the “grillz” guy. Wall still sells diamond teeth, but he’s got a few other business ventures now, including his own strain of weed called Satellite OG, per Forbes. This indica will relax your body and boost your mood. The aromatics resemble candy pine, according to Leafly.

B-Real – Tangie

Tangie is a sativa strain that gained notoriety in the 90’s, Leafly reports. B-Real from Cypress Hill owns his own dispensary in California called Dr. Greenthumb. His version of Tangie took 3rd place at the High Time Cannabis Cup in 2015, The Cannabist reports. Tangie is a citrus lovers dream, with tangerine and orange soda aromas and a fruity flavor. Tangie is the mother to one of GreenRush’s most unique strains, Tangelina Jolie.

Snoop Dogg – Snoop’s Dream

This is the result of crossing Master Kush and blue dream. This flower produces large yields with a berry-riddled kush terpene profile that even the Doggfather himself can’t resist. One of our favorite Snoop’s Dreams comes from Treehawk Farms in Washington state. Yielding around 5+ pounds per light, this strain is potent, tasty, and worth testing this holiday season. GreenRush has produced a Snoop’s Dream cut that reeked of berry punch.

Watch Leafly Test The Walmart Rosin Press

The Green Rush team recently came across an article on Leafly that featured their team testing out their new Walmart rosin press. We’re not sure why Leafly didn’t call us up to press some of our infamous Tangelina Jolie, but we won’t hold it against them. Their website is a great resource for everyone connected to cannabis in some way. Watch their team test out the new Walmart rosin press and let us know if you’d buy it or not in the comments.

Not just any cannabis will work effectively in a rosin press. Selecting the best product makes a huge difference when processing flower into oils and different types of extracts. Certain strains naturally have more terpenes and oils that can be extracted.

Green Rush has numerous types of cannabis that would be ideal for a testing out your own rosin press. Some of our products are more uplifting while others can be quite sedative. Our crown royal OG provides a consistent OG Kush high while the Green Rush 9lb hammer is well known to aid with sleep. If you’re looking to smoke something that has a specific type of high, visit Leafly, or send us an email that describes what you’re looking for.

Why There Is No Best App For Weed Users

In today’s cannabis industry, there are a few weed technology apps who are really starting to carve out their niche. One such company is Leafly, a cannabis resource website most well known for their strain guide and dispensary locator. You can actually find Green Rush listed on their site here right now. Even with the growing popularity of companies like Weedmaps, Leafly, and Massroots, none of them are really able to reach their full potential until federal laws change. Rather than make a ‘best app’ list, we would rather talk about the fact that there is no best app for weed users and that the current line of apps aren’t that great thanks to the laws of the land. The GR team really started to think about why there are really no best apps out there and we came up with five main reasons that should help you understand our thinking.

Why There Is No Best App For Weed

  1. What makes each company’s directory for cannabis shops and strains so different from everyone else’s? Not much, which means there’s nobody else doing it as good as Leafly.
  2.  The apps provide a bunch of different ways to network with people you don’t know because all of your real friends aren’t on it, they’re on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Snapchat.
  3.  Personal security is basically thrown out the window. Why do these damn things ask for so many data permissions?
  4. Since your data is a product. These companies want to sell you to someone. Read the fine print.
  5. Cannabis games!  Did anyone read do their research? 99.9% of laws say you aren’t supposed to market to the underage.

Here in Seattle, the majority of people utilize because they’re able to learn about marijuana as well as locate the best deals from local retailers. As a user of both the web platform and mobile app, we find their work to be the most consistent by far. To date, we’ve never had the app crash, direct us to the wrong retailer, or give me any grief whatsoever, whereas the rest of the weed-centric apps are all average at best, especially the games.

Does anyone really know how cannabis games are legal at the end of the day? If you do, please let us know!
